Campus

Explore the Bowling Green community

Bowling Green State University is situated on a 1,338-acre campus, which includes 116 buildings. The University offers 13 associate degree programs, more than 200 undergraduate majors and programs, 68 master’s degree programs, 15 doctoral programs and two specialist degree programs.

More than 20,000 students, including about 3,000 graduate students, attend BGSU. Of that total, approximately 2,000 students attend BGSU Firelands and other off-campus centers. At the center of the University's academic community are more than 850 full-time faculty members, who are engaged in teaching, research and scholarship activities.

The campus facilities include libraries that house more than six million items, art facilities, two radio stations, two theatres, a musical arts center and numerous athletic facilities.

BGSU is dedicated to distance learning

Olscamp Hall, opened in 1994, is a distance learning center housing three tele-teaching rooms as well as traditional classrooms. Each tele-teaching room contains VCRs, slide projectors, an audio system, a computer with graphics capabilities and a remote video camera. Microphones are built into each student desk and the teaching podium. Communication can take place remotely via cable, telephone lines and satellite, bringing together classes at remote sites in interactive learning.

Bowling Green is dedicated to providing the highest quality of education to our students. That commitment extends to those students who are unable to attend classes at our campus. We offer online learning options that enable distance education students to complete a bachelor, master or doctoral degree.
